An individual aged 23 from Southampton was given a jail term of 27 weeks, suspended for one year, after admitting to reckless operation of a vehicle.
Additionally, the court issued a one-year license suspension and ordered community service along with a rehabilitation program.

According to police officials, the video was filmed at an illegal car meet in the city on 28 December 2024, featuring the driver operating a pink BMW.
“The video shows the alarming moment when a reckless motorist skidded around a traffic circle at an unauthorized vehicle event, while crowds looked on despite the danger of severe harm.”
Broader Crackdown on Unauthorized Vehicle Gatherings
Police representatives stated that more than two hundred violations related to unauthorized vehicle events in the region have been addressed in approximately 12 months.

Official Statement
An officer commented: “Local people, drivers and our roads policing teams have had enough with these groups of drivers thoughtlessly taking over public roads and car parks and we will not tolerate it.”
He added: “They are not only a complete nuisance, but they also place participants and uninvolved individuals at risk of severe harm.”
He finished: “We will continue to take legal action against these individuals and I hope these latest incidents act as a caution: you won’t get away with it.”
